I was afraid to overfill it, but it pulverizes everything down to bits. I no longer keep my usual bucket by sink anymore. I just dump everything into Moreborn bucket until full, then turn it on in evening. It's usually complete in 4-5 hrs. Perhaps because I'm in the habit of chopping things up before I dump them in. I know I don't have to, but I feel it may help with the wear n tear of the machine.
It does make a low humming sound, but it's not a bothersome one. Spring is almost here. Lots of snow melting. Can't wait to hit the garden with all this lovely compost I've accumulated. It's a nice small size to fit a nice spot next to my garbage pail. And, not a bad looker, so I don't need to hide it. It would be nice if I could mulch paper in with my scraps, but I can do that in my drum composter outside n just mix it in. No bad odor, but when I do smell a slight smokey odor, that means it's done. I shut it off, wait for it to cool n pour it into a small bin to take outside to the garden. I was very concerned about paying a cheaper price than popular brands, but am happy I saved my money and got a really good machine.

Before this, even with a lid on our trash can, there was always a faint smell from coffee grounds, vegetables, or leftover food. Now the kitchen just smells normal — no weird odors hanging around. It makes the whole space feel cleaner.

What surprised me most is how much it reduces the volume of our food waste. After the drying and grinding cycle, what used to fill half a trash bag turns into a small container of dry material. Our garbage output has gone down a lot.

I used to take the trash out almost every night because the food scraps would start smelling within a day. Especially in the summer, it was awful. Since using this machine, there’s no lingering odor in my kitchen anymore. It dries everything out so nothing sits there rotting. I honestly didn’t expect it to make this big of a difference.
